چکیده
Polyphenols, as plant secondary metabolites, achieve strong antioxidant capacity by scavenging free radicals, chelating metals, and interacting with lipid membranes, proteins nucleic acids. The aim of the present study was examination applied extraction conditions (particle size material, solvent-to-solid ratio, solvent type, time) techniques (maceration, heat- ultrasound-assisted extractions) on radicals' Thymus serpyllum polyphenol extracts, determined in ABTS DPPH methods. According to results, smaller particle herbal drug resulted better potential. However, this effect statistically significant for extractions according assay, maceration heat-assisted assay. Furthermore, increase ratio from 10:1 30:1 extracts higher activity regardless type technique, whereas ethanol comparison aqueous extracts. In terms time achieving highest capacity, 30 min can be recommended extraction, 5 processing ultrasonic probe. neutralization there were no differences between T. obtained using different techniques, activity, have shown significantly activity. Due properties study, may used formulations food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical industries.

The water-soluble polysaccharide (SCP) was isolated from Semen Coicis through hot water extraction followed by ethanol precipitation. The polysaccharide was deproteinized by using the Sevag reagent, and the polysaccharide was free of proteins as scan by UV Spectra in 260 nm and 280 nm. In order to evaluate its antioxidant activities, Free radicals scavenging activities on superoxide radicals, h...
متن کاملEffect of extraction conditions on antioxidant activity of barberry (berberis vulgaris L.) fruit extracts
Barberry fruit is consumed in different forms including dried fruit, juice, jam and marmalade in Iran. This fruit is also used as a food additive (flavoring and colorant) in soup and rice dishes. In present study, antioxidant activities of acetone, ethanol and water (infusion and decoction) extracts of barberry (Berberis vulgaris) fruit were investigated using 2,2-azinobis-3-ethylbenzo...

Despite strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo L.) leaves had a long use in traditional medicine due to its antiseptic, diuretic, astringent and depurative properties, the potential of their antioxidant activity are still lacking. Our study goals to assess the antioxidant and free radical scavenging potential of water, ethanol, methanol and diethyl ether extracts of A. unedo leaves. Total phenols conte...
متن کاملAntioxidant and Antimicrobial Capacity of Phenolic Compounds of Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Seed depending upon the Extraction Process
The extraction method is critical for the recovery of phenolic compounds. The main goal was to evaluate the effect of an extraction process from mango seed on their phenolic profile, antioxidant and antimicrobial capacities. Phenolic extraction was performed in different steps: maceration, alkaline hydrolysis, acid/alkaline hydrolysis, polar and non-polar fraction of an ethyl acetate separation...
متن کاملScavenging Effects of Dexrazoxane on Free Radicals
Dexrazoxane (ICRF-187) has been clinically used to reduce doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity for more than 20 years. It has been proposed that dexrazoxane may act through its rings-opened hydrolysis product ADR-925, which can either remove iron from the iron-doxorubicin complex or bind to free iron, thus preventing iron-based oxygen radical formation. However, it is not known whether the antiox...
